Confidence in a Little Color

Image
Lately, I’ve started taking more care of myself, especially in how I present myself to the world. For the first time in my life, I’ve begun using a little makeup. Just a bit of lipstick or eyeliner. Nothing too heavy. But somehow, even that small touch makes me feel more confident. Not because I need to hide anything, but because I feel more in control of how I show myself to others. Some people are confident without makeup, and that’s beautiful too. But for me, this small change has become a quiet celebration of self-love. Cinderella dresses for the ball, Eliza Doolittle learns to speak like a lady in Pygmalion, and even Jane Eyre learns to carry herself with quiet dignity despite her plain looks. These changes don’t erase who they are inside, they only help the world see their strength more clearly. Wearing makeup doesn’t...

A Moment of Epiphany

I saw him. Just like that. He crossed my path. Our eyes met for less than a second, and we didn’t say a word. But in that ti...

Our CA2 Assignment Turned Into a Refreshing Experience

Image
A couple of days ago, we had our General Elective (GE) class, and for this semester, I chose Botany.  Our Botany faculty, Richard sir, gave us an interesting task for our CA2 assignment to maintain the college garden. It wasn’t just a simple “do it and leave” kind of thing. We were asked to clean up the garden area, pick out dry leaves from the pots, remove unwanted plants, water everything, and even plant some new flowers in the empty spots. The idea was to give the place a fresh, new look. One cool part of the task was that we had to create a small garden map, planning where to place things so the whole layout looks more organized and creative. Our team of students really got involved. Even though it was sunny and hot, we didn’t really care — we just got into it and worked hard. And honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it. I’ve always liked gardening. There’s something peaceful about cleaning up a space and making it look neat and green. Being around plants just makes me ...
