Our CA2 Assignment Turned Into a Refreshing Experience

A couple of days ago, we had our General Elective (GE) class, and for this semester, I chose Botany.

Our Botany faculty, Richard sir, gave us an interesting task for our CA2 assignment to maintain the college garden. It wasn’t just a simple “do it and leave” kind of thing. We were asked to clean up the garden area, pick out dry leaves from the pots, remove unwanted plants, water everything, and even plant some new flowers in the empty spots. The idea was to give the place a fresh, new look.

One cool part of the task was that we had to create a small garden map, planning where to place things so the whole layout looks more organized and creative. Our team of students really got involved. Even though it was sunny and hot, we didn’t really care — we just got into it and worked hard. And honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it.

I’ve always liked gardening. There’s something peaceful about cleaning up a space and making it look neat and green. Being around plants just makes me feel good. Plus, we’re planning to plant some colorful and decorative flowers, which I’m super excited about.

By the end of the day, one thought really stuck with me: If more people take care of their surroundings, even in small ways like this, the environment could really improve. Clean air, green spaces, and a healthier Earth .It all starts with small efforts like this. And for me, this assignment wasn’t just about marks — it was a genuinely good experience.
